But somewhere between the jokes and the cowboy tricks, something quieter happens.

Every story comes from Kristen's own life and is paired with a hands-on experience, turning resilience from an abstract idea into something students can see, feel, and practice for themselves.

Built on Kristen's true story: a childhood spent comparing herself to cousins with "normal" lives, the sticky stories that comparison left behind, and the moment a cow named Honeybee showed her a shinier one. Through a hands-on demonstration, live music, and trick roping, students learn to recognize their own sticky stories and choose a shiny one to dance with instead.

Kristen's trick roping isn't just for show. Watching her miss, reset, and try again teaches kids that persistence, not perfection, is what actually works. If she can keep trying until the rope lands, so can they.
Through simple drawing exercises and a hands-on butterfly activity, students practice recognizing and calming big feelings in the moment, a skill they carry into the classroom long after the assembly ends.
Kristen's original music and her award-winning book, Find Your Brave, give students the words and the courage to act even when they're scared. It's the assembly's central lesson, set to a tune they'll be humming on the way home.

The Honeybee Hug Project is a special assembly where every classroom receives a book, plushie, and letter packet, along with extra bundles the counselor can give to kids who need them most. The goal is to help every child feel like they are the next chapter in the story, so they can find their brave just like Ani did.
