How She Got Here
And How She Delivers the Resilience You're Craving
I remember sitting on a gray gas meter outside our barn, watching the school bus go by without me. It was hard getting left behind. I was left to teach myself, mostly out of the local library, from the age of ten until I missed high school graduation. It would have been easy to let that hold me back.
But after an unexpected life-changing moment, I learned a powerful lesson.
My circumstances weren't a punishment. They were just a different curriculum designed to make me stronger.
From that day on I stopped asking why this was happening to me, and started asking what it was trying to teach me. That single mindset shift turned every obstacle into an opportunity to gain something positive from the negative in my life. I never could have imagined it would eventually help me gain a life of opportunities I once thought were impossible sitting on that gas meter.
Like a decade as a professional train robber, a degree in Commercial Music, and amazing experiences on stages across the country.
It goes to show that you never know what you're capable of, if you just change how you look at your circumstances.
Your circumstances don't get to define you. Your reaction does.
